We have completed the first phase of this two year project.  In October 2013 we conducted 8 workshops that featured live webinars and the production of website videos that focused on educating rural disabled adults about the importance of being as active and healthy as possible.  Each presentation also included the benefits of having a Sign Language Interpreter. Workshops topics varied from Sit-Down Yoga and Zumba to mobile transportation services, in-home haircuts, in-home dental services and even an adaptive clothing demonstration.

Our audience enthusiastically participated in each workshop and enjoyed the opportunity to remain valued and included in society.

Special thanks goes to the Canadian Government for funding this project and also to King Township Recreational staff and the use of their amazing Trisan Centre in Schomberg, Ontario.

We hope that you enjoy the pictures and videos from our October workshop.  The next phase of this project will be conducted on July 19, 2014 in Schomberg, Ontario.
