I started in 2011 to care for my 88 year old Mom until she died in May 2015. I now take care of my Dad who is 90 years old 24 hours a day. I cook, clean and maintain his home. I do all the driving to doctor appointments, family visits, watching classic movies with him (some for the 15th time). I worry about the future of our home after 60 years in the same location.
On the good side, these changes have brought the family back together instead of going our own ways. My parents were always good humored, happy, individuals. They were always glad to see their children, sharing the stories about their history.
