My father had a stroke in November 2014. He is now paralyzed on the left side of his body and is completely dependent on others for his daily activities. He is very proud and independent so it is extremely difficult for him to accept him. My mother is the primary caregiver but myself and my brother take turns spending the nights and weekends helping. I find it very difficult to find the community/social support necessary without being financially bankrupt. More supports are needed!
